Dialogue, No Title

A & B are good friends. They encourage each other, but aren’t syrupy.

A

I don’t want to.

B

That’s OK.
(Long, long pause. Maybe 45 seconds.)

A

I still don’t want to.

B

That’s even better.

A

It is?

B

Just wait.

(Shorter long pause. 20 seconds.)

A

We’re going to, anyway.

B

Bingo! Going to what?

A

Going to do what I don’t want to do.

B

Right. Right! What was that again?

A

I’d rather not say.

B

Right. Because you don’t want to do it?

A

No, because I did it already.

B

You – what?!

(Fast, fast blackout. B barely finishes “what.”)
